Writing About Trees (asynchronous)

  • virtual United States (map)

Thursdays, November 14-December 19

$149

Trees are some of humans’ oldest friends. In this generative, asynchronous class unfolding over five weeks, you’ll read essays and book excerpts exploring our sacred, sentimental, and scientific relationship to trees, using them as inspiration to begin drafting some of your own.

In our final week, you’ll be challenged to develop further one of your essay starts-- ideally leaving class with the roots of a new, tree-related essay beginning to spread out in the ground.

This course includes five weeks of course material, which will be available for seven weeks. Course material closes January 1, 2025. You’ll access this material through the platform WetInk.

Please note that while Kati will be commenting throughout WetInk as part of facilitating the class, this course does not include in-depth comments on your essay draft.

Payment plan options:

One payment of $149

Two payments of $85

All payment plans must be completed by December 31, 2024. By initiating a payment plan, you commit to paying the full amount regardless of your continued participation in the class.
