How can a memoirist build vibrant scenes from foggy memories? In this 2-session zoom class hosted by Jackson Hole Writers, you'll identify the types of research that make the most sense for your project, complete generative challenges intended to help you recover material from previous periods of your life, and learn strategies for turning this material into rich, riveting prose. You'll also peek behind the scenes at how your instructor turned interviews, medical records, photos, site visits, chicken scratch notes, and Facebook screenshots into powerful passages in her published book. You'll leave the class with a grounded sense of how to move forward in telling your story--and with some writing to get you started--even if your journal entries and memories aren't perfect. Note: This class (previously in-person) has been moved online.
