How can a memoirist build vibrant scenes from foggy memories? What makes a personal essay draft feel flat? For six weeks over Zoom, writers will complete generative challenges intended to help them recover material from previous periods of their lives. They'll learn strategies for turning this material into rich, riveting prose. They'll also spend time reckoning with the meaning of their experiences, practicing alchemizing what may have been unconscious into powerful story. Writers will generate one essay or excerpt for feedback from their peers.
