Join Katherine Standefer for a virtual book talk hosted by the Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Foundation. In this appearance as part of their Author’s Series, Kati will give a short reading from Lightning Flowers: My Journey to Uncover the Cost of Saving a Life, share comments on her unfolding relationship to death, and answer questions from the audience.
Elisabeth Kubler-Ross was a Swiss-born psychiatrist and pioneer in Near-Death Studies. Her 1969 book On Death & Dying introduced the now-famous Five Stages of Grief as a pattern of adjustment. The EKR Foundation continues Elisabeth’s mission to develop hospice, palliative care, and grief support, including hosting public events that center connection and collaboration, offer advocacy support, and provide resources and education.
