Join Ashland MFA graduate student Maureen Wanket (facilitator) and the team that brought Lightning Flowers into the world to uncover how that process happens in the real world: author Katherine Standefer, her agent Bonnie Nadell (of Hill Nadell Literary), her editors Tracy Behar (Editor and Publisher at Little, Brown Spark), and Ian Straus (Associate Editor at Little, Brown Spark). We’ll talk about signing an agent, writing a book proposal, working on deadline, turning over revisions, and more— including the foundational act of living a writing life that makes it all possible.
